Antelopes News · 2020 National Signing Letter of Intent Day


This past Wednesday,  February 5th  was the National Letter of Intent Day and Avonworth had  six individuals who participated in this prestigious day.

1). Playing Football next year at Clarion University is Josh Elm.

This past year Josh was named to the PA All-State football team for Avonworth’s State Runner-up football team.

2). Secondly, Anna Igims will take her running talents to Slippery Rock University. Anna has qualified for the PIAA state championships the past few years in both Cross Country and Track

3). Our third signer was Jake Horrigan He will take his football talents to New England and Play at Bowden College in Brunswick Maine.  Jake was an All Conference Linebacker on this year’s football team.

4). Andrew Tedesco was our 4th signee as Andrew will take his football talents a little closer to home and become a Westminster College Titan. Andrew was also an instrumental part of this past year’s football team’s success on both sides of the ball.

5). The fifth student to sign an NLI is Jax Miller. Jax had a tremendous year in football being named to the PIAA AA all -state team as a running back and Post-gazette AA player of the year.  Jax will take his talents and play Division II baseball at Cal University of PA.

6). Our last signee actually signed her letter of intent during the early signing period before Christmas. That person is Makenna Gavin. Makenna will play Division II Volleyball at Gannon University.

Congratulations to all the Student/athletes and their families as they prepare themselves for the next stage in their lives.
