Antelopes News · Boys Cross County Finishes in Top 10 At Red White and Blue Classic

On Saturday morning the Boy’s Cross Country braved the rain and a very muddy course to finish 9that the 16th Annual Red, White and Blue Classic held at Schenley Park.  The team was paced by Sophomore Jackson Habala who finished 16th in the 1A Boys 5000 Meter Run Finals with a time of 18:19.56. Also finishing in the top 50 were Junior Luke Wagner (39th) and Senior Jacob Noethiger(43rd). Rounding out the varsity team were Sophomore Eli Kauer (64th), Freshman David Kujawinski(66th), Sophomore Mike Frank (77th) and Sophomore Jackson Southern (80th).

In the Junior Varity Race the team was led by a pair of Freshman Luke Woodfill and Noah Talaricofollowed by Sophomores Ian PerrySimon PerrySean Boaks and Tim Eng. Also competing in the JV Race were Freshman Jon Pfleuger, Sophomore Roman Simkins, and Juniors Michael Blaser and Andrew McDowell.

The team will begin the defense of last year’s Section Championship with a tri-meet at North Catholic with Northgate on Tuesday afternoon.
