Girls’ Softball Update

Avonworth (14-8) — The Lopes went 9-1 to win Section 2 last season. They advanced to the WPIAL semifinals and PIAA tournament. Avonworth returns eight starters, including four all-section players, notably second baseman Sarah Helffrich (.500) and pitcher Maya Kozup, an Edinboro recruit.

How Sweet It Is!

Today we celebrated Karen Siddoway winning two gold medals at the PIAA State Championships.  Karen won gold in both the 200 and 100 Freestyle.  To celebrate all high school students were offered a cookie from Good O’Oven Cookie Shop. Featured is Keera Dwulit, High School Principal, Karen Siddoway and Tim Giel, Athletic Director.

Based on their performances at the WPIAL Championships, a number of swimmers will be competing at the PIAA State Championship on March 13th and 14th at Bucknell University.
